Try the checkout on a live store
The demo store is a real Shopify store with LatchPay switched on. It is the fastest way to see what your buyers would see: a Shopify cart, a LatchPay checkout, a Whop charge, and a paid order back in Shopify.
The demo store is being set up.
The link will appear here as soon as it is live. Until then, the steps below describe exactly what it does, and the help center shows how to set the same thing up on your own store.
What happens when you place an order
1.Add to cart on Shopify
The storefront, products, prices and cart are plain Shopify. Nothing about the store itself is changed.
2.Checkout opens on LatchPay
Pressing Checkout or Buy now opens the hosted checkout. Shipping, tax and any discount are quoted live from Shopify.
3.Pay through Whop
The card is entered in Whop’s payment element and charged on the demo store’s own Whop business.
4.The order appears in Shopify
Once Whop confirms the payment, LatchPay creates the order in Shopify as paid. Inventory and the confirmation email follow.
It is a real store
- A real card is really charged, on the demo store's Whop business, and the order is really created in Shopify. The demo store says on its own pages whether a Whop test card is accepted or whether an order is refunded afterwards; read that note before paying.
- Shop Pay and the express buttons are hidden on the demo store, as they are on any store while LatchPay is on.
- Whop appears on the card statement, not the store name and not LatchPay.
- The demo store is run by LatchPay. Nothing you buy there ships; it exists to show the checkout.
