Your LatchPay membership
A Whop membership renewed every 30 days is the switch that keeps the checkout running; its card is the one the usage fee is billed to.

What the membership does
Your LatchPay membership is a Whop membership on the Starter or Scale plan, renewed every 30 days by Whop on the card you gave there. It is the on/off switch for the service: while it is active your checkout can run, and the same card is the one the weekly usage fee is billed to. Either plan activates LatchPay.
The statuses
Settings → Membership shows the status pill and your plan:
- Active or Trial: the checkout can run.
- Past due: Whop's renewal charge failed and Whop retries. Update the card on Whop; buying the plan again would create a second membership, so the plan buttons make way for "Open Whop".
- Canceled, Expired: the membership ended; checkouts are paused.
- None: no membership was found on this Whop account yet.
The Plan row reads "Not confirmed yet" until the first membership check after you paid; your tier is the highest plan that is active.
How often it is checked
On dashboard loads, at most every five minutes, and immediately when Whop sends a membership webhook (activated, deactivated, cancel at period end). I've paid, check again on the membership step and on /subscribe asks Whop right away.
When it lapses
A membership that was live and is not any more pauses checkouts: buyers get Shopify's checkout on the next page load, the theme line stays harmless, and a red banner says so on every dashboard page. When Whop reports the membership as active again, the pause lifts by itself on the next check.
Orders already paid, their Shopify orders and the payments on your Whop business are untouched. Usage fees for orders before the lapse are still billed on the next weekly run, at the last known rate.
Managing it
Card, renewal and cancellation live on Whop: Manage on Whop in Settings opens your Whop hub. Cancelling there ends LatchPay at the end of the period. To delete the LatchPay account itself, see Disconnecting and deleting your account.
